Following the requests from the first workshop at Picton Castle where I taught a class for painting the open sea, I decided to make another, this time to include a wave on the open sea.
It was alot of fun, but it is also hard work! Painting the sea is not an easy subject to paint, requiring much concentration, but it is also very satisfying when something on your canvas stars to come to “life”, and is wonderful for me to see that take place for other people.
The system I use is one that I developed over many years, refining it into something that I think is effective whether its used in oil painting or acrylic painting. This has been my pleasure to show to others and go step by step through each of the layers.
Looking forwards to the next course projected for spring/summer 2017.
When there is information for that course will post here.
